Our Woollen handmade shawls are popular because of the ari or hook embroidery worked on them which is special to Kashmir. We do embroidery with cotton thread which covers a much larger area than needle work in the same amount of time Ari or hook embroidery. The motifs are well-known for flower design finely worked in concentric rings of chain stitch.
